Starcasters and Coronadoes are advertized in Vintage Guitar Mag every month for about $2000-quite a bargain in my books.

I may be a bit late here but i own a 1976 Fender starcaster with the natural blonde wood finish. It is in great condition but has had one volume knob replaced. These guitars are fantastic! The tone and playability is amazing and cant even be compared to any other semi hollow body. The actual body of the guitar is made up of two hollow chambers along side a solid center. Can upload pictures if anyone is interested. Came with the original case and i picked it up at a decent price too

First of all welcome to the forum, anyone with vintage Fenders is especially welcome.I love Starcasters and the old Coronados and always wondered why they let these guitars go the way of the Dodo bird. Both guitars were excellent,as a matter of fact Randy Bachman endorsed and played and recorded with Starcasters for a few years in the mid 70s.I'd be very interested in seeing pix of your little gem and I'm sure that others would be too.Cheers.

Sorry for reviving this old thread!
I'm a Starcaster owner, I think mine is Olympic White colour (1975 I think), which has aged to become very cream... it has some light damage and the finish is cracking in a few places, but I don't care. It still plays beautifully, and I love it to bits - it was given to me as payment for some studio work I did, and I cried when I got it. Really.

Actually I would appreciate a little help with mine:

A while back I lost a screw from one of the knobs. I still have the knob, but can't seem to find a screw with the right thread so I can put it back on. Does anyone know what the correct thread pitch is for these Bronco/Starcaster knobs?

Also one of my tuners broke. There's a small pin which locates the tuner in the headstock, and this has sheared off. Without it the whole tuner is rotating as you tune the guitar, which makes it impossible to tune. So I need to find a new tuner. However, I can't find any good reference as to the correct type of tuner to order. I want a genuine Fender part, but I don't mind if it's used or new. I imagine the same type of tuner was used on other guitars too. Does anyone know how the part number, or what other guitar I could google for? Even better, somewhere in Europe I can order one from...
