it's all personal preference. i prefer the jaguar due to its shorter scale and better-sounding pickups.

Another vote for the Jaguar here!

...but it really depends on what YOU want from your guitar and what music YOU create. I love the sound of my CIJ Jaguar through my 1962 Princeton amp with no effects, just clean. I equally love cranking it through Amplitube on my MacBook then routed to my Peavey Combo 300. Even effected, it's still a Jaguar.

My next purchase will be a Jaguar Baritone but if I had the money, I'd probably have a Jazzmaster as well.

jazzmasters do seem to be the more popular choice.

I like the Jazz, (not my guitars but awesome pic) don't like the color though, would have liked light blue or sunburst or oly white

I'd say the neck is the most important thing to consider...

If you're a fan of 25.5" necks ,then the Jazzmaster is for you (and me)

But the jag is good for mustang and Gibson players.

For me, the vote goes to the glorious JAZZMASTER!
:D

Another vote for the Jazzmaster. I have a LPB reissue that looks just like the pic. Jags are good, but just a little too bright for me.

Jazzmaster for me. Although I never played a Jaguar, so maybe my opinion is not the one to go by...
