Hi! A couple years ago, I went to the Salon de la guitare de Montreal. I met some guys frome Stewart Macdonald's (stewmac.com). That's where everything was starting for me.

I builld myself an Esquire with mid-quality pieces. And now, I'm building my own Jazzmaster. Well I would like to name it like that but actually the neck is a maple fretboard and I want to put some p-90s on it. So I'll probably call it Bluesmaster or simply Nomaster. Plus, the neck shape is a fat strat 50's style.

My project has started today, so here is a picture before the painting job.

Thanks! Yeah, it is Swamp Ash... nice and light wood!
I will stain it in white (Mary Kay White). It will perfectly fit with a maple fretboard and cream soapbar p-90s!

I don't have pics of my Esquire for the moment, but I'll post them with the jazzmaster pics.

Nice guitars! A Fender Cyclone, isn't it?

'Love it!

Thanks!! Yeah she is a Cyclone, "Squier". Not for long though.
I have a 1968 Mercury Cyclone emblem to counter sink into the body, Atomic II in the bridge, a Tex-Mex inthe neck, new "vintage" chrome button tuners and the paint matches a 60's era Gulf GT40 racing scheme. I have other pics, but they are only of her rewired guts, I will post more when she gets further along.
OOOh a Mary Kay finish, I love that.... she is gonna look good, and the Ash grain is going to set off the finish. What color pickguard? Gold hardware or chrome?

White pickguard, mary kay white finish and cream soapbars... She will looks like an old lady: all in white. I want to recreate a Jazzmaster ''from the early 50's''. I know that the Jazzmaster and the Jaguar were the first Fender guitars to received a rosewood fretboard (1959 for the jazzmaster), but I want to make it different with a 50's fat strat neck and a unique finish. The hardware is all chrome, the roller pots are white, the switch too...

Hope it will works fine!

I love the finish on the cyclone! What color will be the hardware?, pickguard? What kind of pickup?

Well actually, I'm waiting for the hardware and pickups. I ordered a new bridge, a bridge cover and some other stuff last week. The pickguard is coming too. I have to say that Warmoth is slow... So I'm waiting. The Jazz is now white but it is not finished.

Don't worry. As soon as I can I'll put new pics.

What about yours?
