I recently bought the Mexican made Jaguar reissue, and it didn't come with an instruction manual. I don't know exactly how the adjust-o-matic switch works on the tailpiece. For instance, when I want to use the Tremolo Bar, should the switch be facing the neck, or the opposite way? When I put new strings on, which way should it face?

Also, the Tremolo Bar that came with the guitar appears smaller than advertised in the picture on various sites (including Fender's.) Did I get the wrong Trem Bar or is it really supposed to be shorter for this model?

Any help would be appreciated. I've tried searching for this information but I couldn't find anything. I didn't want to bother the guys at Guitar Center, either.

That is the "Trem Lock" button. Keep it pushed toward the neck for normal play. Mine, however doesn't seem to much in the opposite direction.

As for the trem bar, they are shorter than on the CIJ, AVRI and so on because the trem assembly is closer to the bridge. It's about the same length as a Strat bar.
