What is your favorite guitar you own?
I am a LONG TIMe Guild Acoustic Fan. I have two custom Guilds: a 1983 F-50RSB made for me with a unique finish; and a 1990 custom shop F-512 with a maple neck (the next serial number after the end of the F-512 production life run). Sorry, but there is only ONE electric guitar...that's my 1968 Gibson Les Paul Custom (Black Beauty). I use fender amps, however. MY MAJOR CONCERN IS THAT GUILD WILL SUFFER THE SAME FATE THAT FENDER SUFFERED WHEN OWNED BY CBS. I have already had a problem with a genuine lifetime warranty item (shrinking pickguard because of bad material...you guys will not fis it!) SO PLEASE, FOR THE SAKE OF ALL OF US GUILF FANATICS, DON'T MESS UP THE BRAND AND KEEP THE HIGH END GUITARS HIGH END AND QUALITY. tHANKS 8) 8)

I'n not sure why it bothers me that I am listed as a hobbiest. I have played professinally, been out on the road, for most of my 62 years. I have owned and played almost every kind of guitar/mandolin/banjo/drbro that you can imagine (Martin: d-45/D-28/D-18/MC-28, Guild (see above plus D-212CH), 1957 Gibson L-50, 1949 Gretsch New Yorker, Froggy Bottom J series, Santa Cruz, and Taylor, National, Gibson (Banjo/mandolin). If I had been a hobbiest, I probably would have a lot more money and many, many fewer road scars and wear. I'm not an egotist, but after paying all of the "dues" I guess I have earned the title of professional musician (which in some circles is the same as being an idiot!!) :D

the reason it says you are a hobbyist is because you've only made under a 100 posts, I've made over 300 posts so I am a Aspiring Musician.

Hope that helps!

:D :D :D MY FAVORITE GUITARS THAT I OWNED IS THE ERICL JOHNSON SIGNATURE STRATOCASTED. AND MY ACOUSTIC GUILD D-55. IT TOOK ME AWHILE TO FIND THE SOUND AND QUALITY. I TRIED GRETCH, GIBSON, AND RICKENBACKER TIL I FINALLY FOUND THE TWO THAT I OWN NOW. AND THAT'S ALL I NEED FOR PLAYING NOW.

My favourite guitar? The next one. Can't get enough. Fatal case of G.A.S.

my "favorite" guitars are always the ones i gig with (as my rare and vintage ones rarely see the light of day)
so i'd have to go with my ibanez destroyer reissue with bareknuckles, then my cyclone

I made this in woods shop about a year and a half ago, its all the fender specs for a bass. I made it from scratch, but bought the truss-rod and the electronics, I even had my uncle cut out the pick-up and back plates on a CNC machine. This is the 3rd guitar i have built.

My favorite I own is a Martin OM-21.
My favorite electric is a Fender Strat.
I currently don't own an American Strat.
I used to have an 87 American Standard Strat.
I'll get one soon!
