Hello!


I really need a help in buying new guitar of my dream - Fender Jazzmaster.

Wish you could tell me, if it is the real one / where i need to look while buying it / what version this is.

Hi & sorry for the late answer - missed your post for some reason…

No obvious signs of a fake, lots of typical Fender features on those pics. So, IMHO, legit (unless the tuners, neck pocket/heel markings etc. bring surprises - those pics are OK but don't cover everything).

The model would be JM66, either a JM66-80 or a JM66-85 (they look the same, some minor differences like the body wood).
"MADE IN JAPAN" and U-serial says it's from around mid-nineties.
The color is probably VWH (Vintage White), but they made colors outside what's listed in the brochures, so could be some other shade of pale, too.

It's not fully original - the Mastery bridge is new. And that could suggest other mods, too - most likely to "upgrade" direction.
