if your goin to get just one i would definetly get the jag hh chrome (special edition) because its made in japan and japanese jags are way better then ones made in mexico (classic player). i have the special edition jag and its the main guitar i play

Make sure you post pictures, and do a mini-review! I've been trying to figure out a way to get my hands on one (Sunburst more than likely) because I like how versatile they boast to be :)

Good things:

I received the axe in good working order. The first thing I noticed
is how nice the fret work was..no sharp edges. Tone wise I am still
experimenting, but so far, this guitar does have its merits. I am able to get
a really nice clean sound..a mix between a strat and sg actually. Its has a lot of bite, but can be throttled back to more of a jazz tone.
Fit and finish very very nice for a MIM. The roller adjustable split coil feature is really cool...and it does work. Mine is olympic white with tortise shell (brown) type pickguard. The guitar is a little on the heavy side and is big in comparison to sg,lp,strat...it is NOT awkward though and still very comfortable and balanced to play despite its shape (run on sentence). The headstock is killer with its spaghetti logo, nicely stained and tuners so far, seem to be holding their own. The cosmetic feel of the axe is superb, although this guitar has been around for a long the the humbuckers set it off well. Position markers are large and make the neck cool looking also. The neck takes time to get used to if you play ibanez, if you play a LP you will feel more at home,if you play a strat then you will find this neck is a mix of the LP slim 60's neck and an american deluxe strat.
Loudness, well, its loud and powerful pups cut through the mix without issue. Again, tone is what you dial in really, I have no prob recording with it. The fingerboard (rosewood) is beautiful and nicely, nicely done! Fret work is excellent!!!!!!!!!

Not so good things:
The humbuckers are a little on the noisey side when distorted or pushed. I was a little surprised as most of my other axes with humb's are quite on the same amp settings. GIG BAG...sheeesh...$800. is alot of cash to hand out just to get a GIG BAG ! Tremolo works well, but I dont use it at all, the trem arm is in the gig bag and will stay there. No skunk stripe on the neck(if you like a skunk, I dont prefer it).
Overall:
Well worth the money, (GIG BAG !!) it does cover a wide range of tonal
spectrum from Tele to Sg (no joke). If you have specific questions please let me know. I got this axe from Matt Bostater at sweetwater.com. BTW sweetwater has an inspection list they actually use for all of their axes before sending to customers...

I have a Jaguar Classic player that came with the buckers, but I recently swapped them for actually Jaguar pickups. I of course had to change the guard on it as well. Took a small amount of modding the guard to fit the bridge area, but it looks and sound great. I also rewired it to Jaguar specs.

All in all, with the buckers, the guitar did sound good, I just wanted a more Jaguar "jangle".
