My dad has a 67' fender mustang duo-sonic. He's had it since he was a kid, but young and dumb sanded off the fender name on the headstock. somebody interested I will send photos of the guitar and headstock. We are just looking to buy a new decal but i heard Fender doesnt just hand out decals. So if anyone can help write back! :)

The Fender Mustang and Fender Duosonic are different guitars, although both are a shorter scale (21 fret 22.5-inch (or 3/4 scale) neck, or a 22 fret 24-inch neck, but the 24-inch was overwhelmingly more popular and 3/4 scale examples are rare), as was the Fender Musicmaster.

I've heard that if you took it to an authorized Fender dealer and they agreed it was genuine, after checking it out, that they could get a replacement decal.

Maybe someone else will chime in that has done this?

There are decals out there, if you look in the right places on the web. I don't want to get anyone in trouble, so that's all I'm going to say. There are decals out there. And there are folks out there who are willing to help, especially if you can provide pics for them.

try googling something like "fender mustang headstock decal". You will get some hits that look pretty good.

Not sure how good they will look when you get em, or how "legal" it is, but it is out there.

An original Fender decal from 67 would probably crumble as soon as it hit water, from my model car experiences with old waterslide decals.
