They look cool, though the humbuckers make them ideal for a Nirvana type of grunge.

The Jag adds a single coil in the neck paired with the splittable humbucker in the bridge. It also comes with black "skirted" amp knobs. Kurt would be proud. :P

Or any other kind of heavy music.

This one looks like little more than a Blacktop, but with the neck humbucker replaced with a single coil. Maybe Fender should call it a Halftop. :P

Okay, to be fair, it also has a trem arm, which the Blacktops didn't have. But according to the specs, it has a vintage style bridge, so there is a costly upgrade required almost right away.

The tidepool one sure is pretty. Image

Edit: people reviewing them on YT are claiming they have Mustang bridges, so apparently no upgrade required. In general, the whole line is getting good reviews. Maybe I was premature with the Blacktop comparison. I have to admit to being intrigued.

The Jaguar Bass has the choice of both pau ferro and maple options for the fingerboard material.

These guys review them starting at about 23:20.

Chapman makes the Jazzy sound glorious. The Jag is in Anderton's less capable hands, so it's harder to judge.
