Is it worth buying a vintage mustang? Will the price raise as it gets older like the vintage strats or are they not really valuable since they are beginner guitars, also do they sound like any good?
Thanks

If that's the CBS-era walnut Mustang you asked on the Strat section, they've been sold on reverb.com for 400-1200 monetary units in the last couple of years, most went for below 900.

Worth buying as an investment...
Well, what happens in the future, nobody can tell for sure. My vague guess is, the price will get a bit higher, but slowly. And I don't think profits made from one Mustang will enable anyone to buy a yacht & retire to the Caribbean...

Worth buying for playing?
Sure, if the price is right and the instrument is in good enough condition and feels/sounds good for you. I won't recommend buying it without testing, unless the price is low enough it secures you get your money back if don't like it and resell soon.
