me neither...

it looks like a mustang, based on the body contours, and pickguard/knob plate design. i bought it on ebay, and i'm going to make a mustang clone out of it. just wondering if anyone knew who made mustang knock-offs. teisto or something like that? weird bridge stuff, and gnarly pickups.

anywho. she's gettin' a surf green or daphne blue paint job and a red-bowling ball pickguard. and a mustang neck pickup, and a jeff beck humbucker in the bridge. and hopefully a mustang neck.

any help is greatly appreciated, i'm new here.

Looks like an old Teisco. And a great looking specimen at that. There was probably one gigantic tremolo arm connected to it at one time. Too bad that it isn't there. Great looking piece, though. Good luck with the transformations.

Maybe I'm just crazy, but the horns are making me thing more Jaguar than Mustang.

Take off the neck and see if there anything stamped / written in the neck pocket.

Looks like a teisco--

But somebody on Axewar.com posted a very similar one and called it a, "Sweet vintage Fender guitar with custom artwork on pick guard."

It sorta' looks like a copy of a '60's Fender Duo Sonic.

I'd have to say Teisco , could have sold under a different brand name, but smells like Teisco to me...

Check with Mike at www.myrareguitars.com. He'll probably be able to tell you what it is.
