Hello!

I'm thinking of replacing the humbucker in my Kurt Mustang with a humbucker sized P-90. Something that sounds similar to the Classic Player Jazzmaster bridge pickups.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I've researched Mean 90's and Fat Cats but honestly I'm just getting into modifying guitars etc so I really have no clue what would be best for the sound I'm looking for. Thanks!

Just being picky: Jazzmaster pickups are not P90's...

But, if you want the Classic Player Jazzmaster soundworld, why not go for the original:

Some words of caution:
For that mod, you'll need to modify the pickguard and most likely enlargen the body cavity.
And: a Mustang is very different from a Jazzmaster. It's quite possible you (that 'you' being generic) can't get one sound just like the other.
