I'm about to get a 1967 Coronado ii. Pickups were swap long time ago by classic 57 humbuckers.
Do you guys know if it required routing and drilling new holes or does they fit right in ?
I can't get an answer and i'm no expert. Thanks
Sorry for the picture size

I have a 1968 Fender Catalog with some Coronado pictures.
Original pickups are smaller than the Classic 57 you show .

For a collector I guess half , for a guitar player not too much. I'm not an expert.

Are the 57 are made in '60 ? These may worth $$

There's a good pic of an original Coronado body here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=48512

On the price drop, st52 isn't totally off, a significant body repair could mean half price. The pickup change and rerouting could, collectorwise, fall anywhere between that 50% value drop and the 5% for almost unnoticeable body repair. Both of course just directions.

Funny guitars, these Coronados... To me, they are at the same time appealing and appalling.

After some research, this guitar in mint condition do not worth a lot of money, $1600 ?
Non original condition , as it show by Jturbide, it can't be half price.

A good guitar can't go under a minimum price.

I don't have an answer to my question ;

thanks guys, for the humbuckers I dont know what year they are, they look pretty old tough.
I'm still considering if the trade I'm going to make is worth it, what do you guys think?
I'm supposed to acquire this coronado for a 1972 hagstrom viking , same as this one :

I'll take the Coronado.

Mint Coronado may worth around $1500
Mint Hangstrong may worth $900
A no original Coronado with 57 Classic ( $$ ? ) worth at least more than the Hangstrong.

from what i've seen the coronado is definitely woth more, but if I divide it's value by 2 (half of the price because of the routing) it the same value has the hagstrom. btw 1972 Hagstrom viking tend to be close to 2000 CAD. Thanks again !

AH! That is the price some people want for, not the price a buyer pay.

If you can sell your Hangstrom for $4000 US, sell it and buy 2 or 3 Coronado

hehe I know i'm not going to sell it for 4000 US
but still, I think they can be worth 1500 CAD , really good guitar with great tone and fast neck, I still might get the coronado, the fender style (6 tuners on the same side) headstock on a hollow body looks really great , and those square in the fretboard also
