I've got a new Jaguar HH Classic Player that I have been attempting to learn all of its features. I've notice that the neck humbucker seeks to be more noticeable than the bridge humbucker. For instance, it is very noticeable when I go from full single coil to neck humbucker as opposed to going from full single coil to bridge humbucker. I can always tell a large difference in sound when toggling the neck humbucker unlike the bridge humbucker. Now if I turn the neck pick up off then toggling the bridge humbucker off and on is very noticeable while only playing using the bridge pick up. In short, it seems the neck humbucker seems to make a much larger difference in sound when being used with the bridge humbucker. Is this normal? I will be getting the guitar set up next week, is this simply an adjustment issue? Any advice is appreciated.

This is my first electric guitar so I assume output is what I am referring to. My first thought when I go from single coils to neck humbucker is "wow, that's a difference in sound." When I go from single coils to bridge humbucker I get the feeling like, "I think I can kinda hear the difference between the single cool and bridge humbucker sound." I know the bridge humbucker is working because there is a distinct change when the neck pick up is off, the bridge pick up is on, and I toggle the bridge humbucker on and off. I hope that makes sense.

I understand that the sound of your bridge humbucker is too close to your taste to a single coil sound ?

Output is the sound level, more output mean louder.

Is this help you ?

The wiring in the "Classic Player Jaguar Special ® (014-1710-XXX) is very different from the "original" or "vintage" Jaguar. The blend switches are wired to split the humbuckers, and I understand awh's issue relates to that the neck and middle pickup have a different response to the split/full blend switch.

My suggestion is to lower the neck pup, raise the bridge pup - start with "as far as you can" positions, so you know if this will help at all, then fine adjust from there.
A side remark: those Enforcer™ pickups are wired hot, so the humbucking position will always remain powerful. This model "is what it is", a real in-your-face distortion monster, so I wouldn't try to tame it with new pickups, alternate wirings, turning the pickups 180° etc.
