Post subject: The Fender Katana is back!

Just saw this in my email. Fender created a custom shop version of the Katana in a far more appropriate color given the shape. I love my original 1986 in blue, but this orange pops. Hopefully more info will come out about it.

I wish they would make a production run. I'd buy a Katana in a heartbeat.

An improvement I immediately see is that the end is more rounded on Krause's new one. This is a good thing, because all Katanas I have looked at have had really bad nicks at the sharp end. That's what has stopped me from buying a used one.

Wasn't till I saw this orange one did I realize it looks like the fin of a '57 Chevy!

My Katana does have a few nicked edges, but if I find someone who can create a good metallic blue paint batch for touch ups I might give it a shot.
