I'm building my own jazzmaster and have ordered an American vintage 62 trem and a blacktop trem arm. Upon arrival, I found that the trem arm was too big for the 62s collet. I'd rather not buy another arm considering the one I have already has a black tip so I'm hoping someone here knows which collet I need and where to get it. I've tried looking myself but could not find anymore info on what collet the blacktop jazzmaster uses.

Since you've gotten no expert answers, I'll give it a try...
Might be the least trouble if you just get a US dimensions trem arm and a black tip for it.

I haven't found one single shop selling a Blacktop collet separately.
The BT trem arm should be 5mm (.197"), but that doesn't guarantee it would fit any of the Japan/Korea collets well enough, so finding a right one could be trial/error etc.

And from your question I'll draw the conclusion you're not willing to do the metal work needed to get the present collet & trem arm to fit each other.
