I have a few ideas for some mods, would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions.

If you have modded one post photos or videos.

Thanks,

I won't put any money on a beginner guitar , you won't keep it and you loose your money .

Better pickups is the first thing I put .

I can see changing out the pots and caps, but otherwise I wouldn’t do much more than strings…

I got this as a guitar to mod.
I was thinking about getting the 920D Custom Shop Seymour Duncan P-Rails Fender '72 Deluxe Telecaster All Black. https://reverb.com/item/64931-920d-custom-shop-seymour-duncan-p-rails-fender-72-deluxe-telecaster-all-black

It will cost more than I paid for the guitar, but that's fine.

Seymour Duncan SHPR P-Rails
Black Knobs
Black Pickups
Bridge Tone Control
Neck Tone Control
3-way Switch
Vintage Wiring
Black Pickguard
WD Tele DLX Black 3 ply (TE-2603)
500K push/pull pots

Modifying a guitar to address an issue makes sense, modifying just to modify is lame. If the guitar plays well, and stays in tune, then you’re better off spending your money on an amplifier. That is where most of your tone comes from. It’s been a while since I last looked under the pick guard of one of those, but from what I remember full sized humbuckers won’t fit in P90 routes without removing some wood…

Thanks, yes I was wondering if the humbuckers would fit. I haven't taken it apart yet or seen any youtube videos about it.

Forget about the P90 pups. There are nice pups, but go with some TV Jones classics.

I have a couple of Gretsches that have some amazing tones.

Put a Bigsby on it too.

Thanks,

I like that red guitar and might just buy that one.

I did see that before.

The TV Jones is a good idea, but this is a tele deluxe style guitar so I'm going to something else for this one.

Thanks,
