What's a good pretty hot alnico pup set for a tele...noiseless. Something suited for modern country, 80's rock, classic rock etc. I have gotten used to using a 2012 MIM tele as my go to guitar but the hum in this axe is bad at most places we play, I have to cut the volume as soon as a song is over because the hum is so bad. I could use my Lester with the burstbucker pros or deluxe players strat with noiseless pups but I prefer this Tele over them. As stated already, I just need some pups that are noticeably hotter than stock ones...minus the noise.

The DiMarzio Area T pups use A2 magnets and they are intended for hot country.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I'll research those, thanks. That's a nice looking trio you have there in the pic.

The Fender Vintage Noiseless Telecaster pickups are hot, with a 12 kOhm neck pickup.

That said, I'd rather recommend the slightly less hot N3s and a good analog boost pedal - then you have hot when you want it, but can also dial back to a higher dynamic range when you want that. If the pickups are too hot to start with, you've already lost some of the dynamic range, and can't get it back.

I've read the spec's on the Area T's, vintage noiseless and the N3's. I am thinking the N3 set may possibly be what I need. I'd like to go a bit hotter as I would really like getting the bite I want from only a twist of the volume knob...but I have to be mindful of the need for a nice classic clean tone that some songs demand. Got to be some compromise from each end and the N3's may be the answer. I'm going to ask around here locally and try to find someone who use's any of the pups mentioned in the thread as a good starting place. My goal would be pups hot enough for my liking..but would also clean up seriously well....leaving pedals out of the picture. Not possible..I know. The only pedals I use is a bad monkey and a proco rat. The monkey for adding a shot of cleaner type grit when needed and the rat for a more broader range of distortion/filth. Thanks for your input guy's.

I was just thinking about the Area T pickups. I just put some in my Thinline Tele and they are wonderful. Probibly the best Tele pickups I've ever heard. I posted a video on Youtube.

Just an update on the pup's. I ordered a ST591b for the bridge and a Area T for the neck...but came close to getting the Lil 59 set. I do realize the ST59 bridge is most likely not going to clean up very well but it's going to deliver the hotter output I'm looking for. I'm hoping the Dimarzio for the neck will deliver the higher output I want in a neck pup along with some warmth to help soothe the bridge pup when using both pup's together for cleaner stuff. Could be a disaster who knows lol. They should be here by Thursday and after putting them in will post the results. I'll be doing the treble bleed mod and a new input jack too.
Thanks everyone for your thoughts and input. Nice videos Paris, sounds like the Area's are working well for you.

Transformation complete. I really had doubts about this combo ( after ordering of course ) but it's not all that bad. The lil 59 bridge is pretty tasty and responsive throughout different tone and volume settings..cleans up enough when needed but jacking the volume will make it growl. I did raise pole heights a bit on the DGand B. The AreaT is a nice sounding neck pup, full and rich without being boomy. Used together in middle position they're an interesting and (to my ears) pretty good blend....not ideal but not horrible. Not being pup savvy like many others here this was a learning experience for me. Installation went well with the exception of having to hog out the corners of the bridge pup cavity slightly.
I installed an Emerson custom pre-wired kit which included 250k volume and tone pots, three way blade, treble bleed mod and new input jack. I don't care for the tone pot because it goes from full bass position to treble too quickly..like the first 1/2 inch turn of the knob starts going to treble quicker than I like.
I got the itch for a dab of bling so a Fender white pearloid pickguard was added  .
