Apologies if this has been covered a dozen times elsewhere on this forum, but I did not see this specific question and am hoping someone out there can provide some simple info.

Looking at the wiring diagram on Fender's service diagram for the Fender James Burton Upgrade, it is not clear how the lower right corner of the S-1 switch is wired. Is the wire coming off the circuit board of the S-1 soldered to the metal surface of the pot, and then to the standard pot connector? Looking at the switch and at the diagram, that seems to be the most logical interpretation, but it would be nice to confirm that before I go crazy with my soldering iron!

Thanks in advance for any insight you can offer!

Yep, it is exactly the same as a standard Tele. The end lug of the volume pot and one leg of the 0.022uF capacitor is always grounded to the pot case.

Here's the link to the wiring diagram I described above:

http://www.fmicassets.com/Damroot/Origi ... A_SISD.pdf

The wiring diagram is on page 3 of the PDF, and the area of interest is at about 5 o'clock on the S-1 switch, as presented in the diagram.
