Hey all,

I love the Telecaster that the guy uses in this cover. Can anyone find it online? I can't find it and its killing me!

Looks like a late '60s Tele to me.
The finish is probably not original - it looks like it's had the finished stripped back and a clear coat applied at some point.

This tele with humbucker at neck is far from the one on the video.

First ,do you want a 7.25 or 9.5 neck radius ?

For 7.25 go for a 52 reissue made in USA . For a 9.5 go for a American Standard

Yeah i really like the Natural Colour.
Do you guys prefer the natural colour with the Rosewood or Maple neck?

I was looking at these american standards a while ago however someone told me that the Japanese makes were a lot better so I started looking at them.

Thanks

I like the natural finish body with the one piece Maple neck.
I also like the belly cut - my youthful "racing snake" days are sadly gone :(

I'm not 100% certain, but didn't Fender stop its association with Japan recently?
Edit - I'm wrong, Fender now completely own Fender Japan http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fender_Japan

Based on your video, and the amount of money you are willing to spend, you cannot go wrong with an American Vintage '52 Tele, plus you will avoid the belly cut of the American Standard, which I hate, and you will have a much better sounding guitar in my opinion, as I'm not a fan of the American Standard pickups.
In my opinion, Telecasters just should not have belly cuts.

The ash American Deluxe does not have the belly cut if you want noiseless pickups.

Both are great guitars.

Im trying to decide between:
http://www.fender.com/guitars/telecaste ... 1425335322
http://www.fender.com/guitars/telecaste ... 22#start=1

I prefer the second one (natural with maple) but now you guys have mentioned the bellycut, I'm not sure if i want it. I want to change the pick guard to white (like the video), so i might go with the nicer colour wood (second one)

I'm not sure whats more worth it, putting up with the belly cut or the colour!! hahahaha so difficult
Suggest some opinions :)

Edit: If anyone could find the American Standard with the same colour scheme (natural and maple) without the belly cut, that would be AMAZING!!! I would instantly buy it

Thanks for all your help guys!
Bz

I have a Tele and a Tele Bass with a belly cut and a Tele without. Not really a deal breaker either way for me.
