Telecaster Plus Deluxe, 1989-1992, Ebony Frost.

The high sustain is in part due to the Lace pickups, which exert very little magnetic dampening on the strings.

Nice one; those are fairly rare these days. Actually the hardtail Tele Plus is rare enough; you don't see many of the Deluxe models with the tremolo at all.

What I remember of these (besides being heavy) is that the 3-way mini-toggle in-between the volume and tone knobs works that Dual Red Lace Sensor - Dual Laces are really 2 separate Lace Sensors in a humbucker mount, so the mini-toggle will select the front Lace, both of them, or the rear one.

These didn't last long at all, but I think that a few might have been made in 1993 as I've seen one or two photos of one with the LSR roller nut instead of the Wilkinson. I think they have the trem with the snap-in trem arm like a Strat Plus Deluxe.

Poplar body with Ash veneer.
The Fender specs say the guitar has a Red Dually at the bridge and a Blue at the neck but I had one with a Gold at the neck and the solder joints looked like perfect factory connections.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Only a very few and rare examples were sold with the Mini Floyd Rose deluxe locking bridge assembly - presumably the last batch of 1st generation Tele Pluses made before the switch to the Nashville configuration with 7-way switching in 1994/95.

Personally I never seen a Tele Plus Deluxe with a Mini Floyd. I even wonder if a guitar with such bridge ever existed.

I have seen a photo of a Tele Plus Deluxe in natural that did have the LSR nut, but it had the same trem as the OPs Tele (which should be the Deluxe Trem with snap-in arm).

Like you, I've never seen a photo of a Tele Plus Deluxe with the Mini Floyd. I doubt they existed; it seems like no matter the exact date it was discontinued the Tele Plus Deluxe was gone right before they brought out the Mini Floyd in the Fall of 1993.

Of course the Tele Plus with the hardtail bridge continued in that configuration until it was replaced by the second/Nashville version in 1994/1995.

The pickups on the Nashville Tele Pluses though labeled "Gold" Lace Sensors are essentially a T-100 in the bridge, a non-RWRP Chrome Dome Strat pickup in the middle and a TN-100 in the neck (the T-100 eventually became the hotter T-150 Lace sells nowadays).

This configuration was also adopted on the American Deluxe series in 1998, lasting only one year; Fender switched to the traditional 2-pickup setup with 3-way switching in mid-to-late 1999.
