The basic telecaster circuit placed in a Strat is revealing.
It turns out that the sound is clearer, the dark sound is gone.
The classic clear, trebly sound common to the Telecaster is then attributed to the circuit.
I can tell the difference both clean and distorted I welcome it and recommend it for other guitars.

So you're rendering the middle pup inactive?

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

The bridge and middle pickups are paired as a humbucker, the rhythm, as usual.
That leaves us with;
1. bridge
2. bridge and rhythm.
3. rhythm.
The tone control for the middle pickup is not used.

There's a rhythm pickup? I hope I haven't been doing it wrong all these years.
