Hi guys, I bought this guitar a few days ago (sounds incredible)
color has me confused, ebay announcement says Lake placid blue American made, the serial is fine, but according to the web is from 2001..the LPB were made in that year?
I am confused whether it is really American ..or the colour is wrong

take a look!

I think the ad has the color wrong; I think that might be an Aqua Marine Metallic finish, which was an option on 2000-2001 American Series Teles (and other American Series models). It looks a bit too green on my monitor to be LPB, so I think it's the Aqua Marine.

Everything else looks correct for an American Series Tele from those years.

On my monitor it looks the same color as my Lake Placid Blue Strat.

I'm not skeptical at all; Aqua Marine and LPB are very, very close - Aqua Marine has just a bit more green to it than LPB, and they show up the same in a bunch of photos depending on the lighting. I still say it's legit, just called the wrong color.

I've seen people call Ocean Turquoise Metallic LPB based on photos, and it's more green than the Aqua Marine color.

Get the serial number from the seller and send it to Fender at consumerrelations@fender.com.
