I'm a little confused with the advertisements of some of these companies, MF, Sweet W., etc.. They all have different descriptions when it comes to "body wood" on the American Stand. Tele's. One says they're all alder, the other has them all advertised as all ash. Do you just get what you get with these American Standards or what?

For American Standards it depends upon the color - solid colors and 3-color burst are alder; natural, crimson red transparent and 2-color burst are ash.

It sounds like some of the big online dealers are just doing a "one size fits all" posting, or they were supposed to have some dynamic change for the body wood that isn't occurring.
