Hi guys,
I just recently won a brand new Telecaster (Serial No. from Fender's cooperation with the watch-brand Nixon.
I was obviously very stoked to finally be able to play my own, legit Fender (and I still am!) but something struck me as odd.
The Neck Pickup wasn't working, i.e. if I put the switch to the left position, there was no signal. Hence, I put off the Control Panel and quickly found what I thought had caused the problem: The ground cable was ripped off.
Unfortunately, after soldering it back on the pickup still wasn't working so I pulled off the strings and removed the pickguard.
As you can see in the pictures, there are no wires attached to the Neck Pickup at all. No idea why, maybe the customs checked the guitar for drugs or whatever, I don't wanna blame anyone since the guitar was free
I thought that wiring the pickup myself shouldn't be much of a problem but I'm a bit clueless. There are three soldering traces on the pickup itself. One is for grounding but what about the other two? As I said, there were no wires at all of any color inside the body.
Here's the album with the pictures: http://imgur.com/a/zKZWc
How do I wire this beauty?
Thank you in advance
CSTele

Look your pickups is missing the 3 pins SOLDER-LESS CONNECTIONS cable .
Can you return on waranty on any Fender store ?
Or order a cable . I never heard about those Fender cable before.

Are you sure cable is not there , there are so many wires
Look like EMG pickups connector ;

Is this your guitar?

Image

It's possible that the guitar was hastily put together and removed from the bench for a photo shoot before the workshop had finished installing the electrics, and never returned to the workshop for completion.
I suspect that Fender would like to have it back for a short while to finish it!

Nice looking guitar too :D
