New American Deluxe Tele w/N3 noiseless PU's. I am getting very low response on the high E string. Is there anything I can do i.e. adjust pu height? Anyone else having this problem? Is it time for a trip to the repair shop?
Thanks,
PJ

Please define, "low response".

Is it sluggish to ring out?
Is it muffled and/or dead sounding?
Does it have little to no sustain?
Is it too close to the fretboard?
Does it only happen when you're bending the string?

Yes to the first 3, no to the last 2. These PU's have no screw slot to raise the individual poles so I was thinking maybe raise one side of the PU. Any other solution welcome.
Thanks,
PJ

So, just to be clear, you're saying it's yes to my first 3 questions and this only applies to the high E string. The other strings are all fine.

I'm thinking you should upload a pic or two.

To start the troubleshooting guide:

Try to adjust the pickup height - the factory recommendations are:
Noiseless™ Series: bass side (lowE) 8/64" (3.6 mm), treble side (highE) 6/64" (2.4 mm).
(In the dinosaur age, the starting point to neck pup was to set it at the fretboard level...)

Change the string - sometimes you get one that's faulty.
