The price (4490 BRD) = ~1400€ = ~1800$.
At that price, I wouldn't even consider that.
Or are the guitars really that expensive in your area, it's three times to what I'm used to for MIJ/CIJ's?

OK, didn't realise the price level could be so different.

Can't really say much on the pics. In general, it looks OK, but I can't pin that to a specific model (*). (BTW, "Olympic white" is not on the current Fender Japan color chart...) And: can't see the serial number, so the age of the guitar is a question.
The neck pocket is something you should check before deciding. There should be a stamp that says "TL-XX(NN), the XX tells the year it reissues and the NN (may only be one letter) defines the model.

In general, yes I would say a MIJ/CIJ is better than a MIM.
Fender Japan models are never made by Fender, though, but outsourced to guitar factories in Japan, like Fujigen Gakki. The quality is usually very good though, and for some years some would say better than MIA.

Beware that the measurements on Fender Japan guitars are usually in metric, though - not in inches like MIA/MIM instruments. This seems to be the case even for reissues of American models. So you can't expect all American parts to fit.
