I have a second-hand MIM Standard Tele and a Roland Micro Cube GX. I tried to make the sound like this:
(6:55 of this video)

But I found the sound is much cleaner than I expected, even I turned my gain knob to 10.

The pick-ups of my tele are all changed. The neck is DiMarzio Twang King and the bridge is The Chopper T, so the pick-ups are the same with a Richie Kotzen Tele. But the sound of my Tele is much warmer, I always need to turn the tone knob to the maximum.

I don't know where is the problem, the tele or the amp? Should I change them?

Since there seems to be no expert's guesses, here's my 2c worth, pick any reason you like:

Live sound (straight from your amp) is different to the youtube video sound (from whatever speakers/headphones you use).
Vol/Tone settings and/or pickup height and/or strings on the guitars (live/video) are different. Or the guitars themselves.
The sound on the video may have been tampered with afterwards.
Amps may have individual differences.
And the player's touch always makes a difference.

As for "should I change them"... Not unless you want to.
Instead of copying a sound one-on-one, try to find your own by experimenting.
