Ha, my first Partscaster build is on!

It's gonna be a few weeks and will only be finished in the new year though.

Neck: Fender Cabronita neck from Stratosphere, got it yesterday but it's gonna be a Christmas present from my folks so although I've checked it it's now in their possession until Christmas....

Body: Fender Cabronita Thinline body from Stratosphere. Still to be delivered but I won't get it until next week as it's going to be a 10th wedding anniversary present from the wife, well I say from the wife, but I ordered it and paid for it! lol

It's going to have TV Jones pickups and either a standard single volume pot or a stacked pot, I haven't decided yet.

This is going to be a very special guitar and have a lot of sentimental value for me as it's signifying my 10 years of marriage but also I'm financing the pickups by way of money coming from the sale of my Hayabusa which I thought that I would never sell. Unfortunately I need a new gearbox in my shogun so the bike has to go to finance it (still got my XT500 supermoto though!). I wanted a Hayabusa as soon as they came out and bought it new in 2003. Went through a lot with it as a motorcycle instructor, numerous training trips and normal bike holidays. The last time I took it away was a track day at Le Mans. My wife doesn't want me to sell it but we have to so this guitar will be highly valued and never to be sold. As such, my mate is going to engrave an inscription on the back plate which my wife will choose.

Keep posted, more pics to come in the coming weeks!

If you're going for a stacked pot, I suggest you a master volume with TBX. Otherwise just use a single master volume.

The rear cavity housing the backrouted controls is large enough to drop a battery.

Here's something similar that's for sale at a music shop just down the road from me:

You can visit their website at http://guitarcentre.net.au/product/vint ... er-bigsby/

They do a lot of modification work...especially with unusual pick-ups etc. Some of the guitars they have in the shop are amazing! They don't even show a quarter of what's available on their web page. If you have any questions they are the guys to ask for sure.
Good luck anyway mate!
