I've got GAS and it's near my birthday so I've been looking at some Deluxe Nashville Teles on eBay. I have several Strats but no Teles. Before I spring for one I need to confirm a few things since I can't get my hands on this model anywhere around here . . .

1. Neck width at nut. Fender's spec sheet says 1 11/16th" or 42.8mm but I've scanned a lot of MIM spec sheets and this model would be the only MIM neck Fender makes that's 42.8mm instead of what all the others measure at, 42mm or 1 5/8".

I'm a bit skeptical that the spec sheet isn't in error. I've seen other spec sheets get their neck widths wrong.

I asked two high volume eBay sellers to confirm the width of the models they offered and 2 replied 42.8mm and another guy, who I think actually measured, says 42mm

I like a wider neck, but don't wanna spring for USA so can anyone who actually owns this model measure and tell me what their neck measures at the nut? Many thanks.

2. Can anyone confirm for me that the middle pickup is reverse polarity, reverse wound? I assume that's what it is but just wanna be sure.

3. I read where the USA version used Vintage noiseless pickups? True?

4. I own Strats but this would be my first Tele, I understand the necks are usually thicker?

5. Strats come in a wider 2 3/16" vintage bridge width and a "normal" 2 1/8" width. How wide is the E to E spacing of the Nashville?

Many thanks for any info you can spare me.

I have a DL Nashville neck on an American Special body, the nut measures 42.76mm using a digital caliper.
The neck is very similar in shape to the American Standard Strat neck but without the rolled edges.
The 6 saddle vintage bridge is 54mm E to e
Can't really help with your other queries apart from there are reports that the middle pickup is a Strat Tex Mex as used in the Jimmie Vaughan Strat and is the bridge out of the set not the RWRP middle. Checking the Fender service sheets gives a different product code for the Tele version so the truth is out there somewhere!

Excellent! Many, many thanks!

I'd have to assume the middle pickup is RWRP as it seems the whole point of the Nashville is to get the same 2 - 4 sound that the Standard strat gets. Should I spring for one, I'll check back to confirm.

Fender did an American Deluxe Telecaster with a Nashville configuration borrowing from the 2nd generation Telecaster Plus produced between 1995 and 1997. This model was short-lived as Fender switched to the conventional 2-pickup layout with the regular 3-way selector in 1999.

Unlike the American Nashville B-Bender which boasts a Texas Special Strat pickup paired with two AlNiCo 5 single coil Tele pickups the American Deluxe Telecaster "Plus" sported a special 2-way toggle switch which added the bridge pickup in positions 4 & 5.
