These things take time, and YOU, of all people should know that.

The magazine articles suggested that the release was imminent.

That could mean, today, tomorrow or next month!
Like a fine wine, it will be ready when it's ready.

It appears that we're just going to have to wait for FMIC to get off the pot.

Don't believe everything you read, and you know what I mean.

The James Burton Telecaster has been updated a couple of years ago.

See: Guitar Player August'14; Vintage Guitar September '14.

Do visit the marketing dudes with the magazines rolled up. However, be sure to read the articles first before you damage both weapons and foe.

If the company is true to form, in the best interests of its customer base , it will originate from The Custom Shop, much like the Merle Haggard model, priced at the cost of a new car.

If necessary, go to the Guitar Player website and search James Burton. You can read the article online. Possibly same with Vintage Guitar. Thereafter you can throw your laptop at the marketing people.

Hey Doc,
Well i couldn't beat up on 'em too much. They did build a one-off for him but beyond that is still in "idea" stage.
Sorry bout that.
Along with being a legendary guitarist, I'm really fond of James after exchanging waves across various rooms through the years...factory...office....Namm..etc. Finally got a chance to shake his hand and get a "bro" hug when we inducted him into the Fender Hall of Fame. A true gentleman and a star.

All the best,
rob
