Just bought a new Tele: an American Vintage '62 Custom Tele reissue in Surf Green (WOW). My questions: If I want to add a 2nd string tree for the 3rd and 4th strings, where do I put it? (Halfway in between nut and tuning keys?) Also, can anyone recommend good nut oil? (Having a small issue with strings getting hung up in the nut--especially the G-string.) Thanks!

About 1/2 way between the nut and the tuner for the D string would be right.
I suggest some graphite for the nut. Pencil lead and vaseline have also been used.

Thanks for the info.

I don't suppose anyone from Fender that reads these posts might let me know how I can get an identical tree to the one already on the guitar? If I'm gonna mar this beauty, I'd like to at least be "authentic" about it.

Thanks.
