I recently saw an ad for a Telecaster that I first thought was an AVRI because of the tweed case. I then noticed the modern tuners and figured it was most likely a Highway 1 but I'm not sure they were ever made in this color. The ashtray also seems odd. Serial number is Z2224905. Can anyone tell me what kind of Tele this is?

Looks like a modded early Highway 1 to me. They were made in that color early on; and the serial number would be consistent for a guitar introduced in early 2003.

It looks like the pickguard has been changed, and someone just added the ashtray cover to the bridge.

I was going to guess 2002 American Series (= pre-AmStandard) in Vintage White, with modded bridge, pickguard and a case bought separately...
Anyway, looks nice. Can't judge the price level in Iceland, but if it comes with brennivin as case candy... 8)

2002 American Serie or 2003 Highway One both with some mods.
