Yeah, I know that "best" is subjective to opinions, but I'm looking for a pickup that has some "spank" as well as twang, if that makes any sense ?

It's for a Tele project that I'm working on.

I used SD vintage 54's in a project a while back...they have a great twang. It's kind of an early 70's Roy Nichols tone...nice!

I like the SD Broadcaster bridge PU's. They've got the right twang, in my eyes. But my favorite pickup is the so-called Grey Bobbin PU that was used on the first series of 52 vintage reissue teles back in 82/83. But they don't hardly ever show up on the used market.

My Best Expeiance is from the Vintage Tele Pickup and The Twisted Tele pickup...Those work the best for me. My 3rd choice is the Texas Special
