Hey dudes, I'm originally a bass player and this is my first guitar, so that's why I really have no clue if this is a problem or not.

I bought this Fender Blacktop Tele stock and changed out the pickups for some SD's JB and '59, but after my luthier installed them, I saw there was something off about them, or at least something that looked strange.

They sound normal, I have no volume problems, nothing I can notice that gets affected by the strings being off the poles like this, but as I've never heard a guitar with this pickup combo thru my amp, I have no way of knowing if they sound normal or if they should sound another way.

For guys who know this guitar or have updated its pups, is there a specific pickup size I should look for?

Thanks.

In a perfect world, every string would be smack in the middle of the pole.
Not so in real life - not even for all single coil Fenders right out of the box.
So IMHO, no problemo.

I recall Frudua giving advice that the highE should be positioned right, because it has smaller magnetic field.
He also says, if the strings aren't lined above the poles, there may be a difference between the pick's down- and upstroke sound.
(I have that always - my pick position is wrong; angled on upstrokes...)

But: if you hear nothing wrong and you like the sound, why bother with changes..?

Trembucker spacing is also referred to as f-spaced. But in all honesty, looking at your pics, don't worry about it mate, you'll a have little, if any, issues with a change in tone due to that spacing
