I recently purchased 4 guitars from a widow. She sold them as a lot. There was one late 60s non-Fender classic, one late 80s mid level acoustic, one 90s cheap entry level model, and the "Telecaster" attached. The other 3 were all well taken care of and easy to authenticate. The Tele has been well cared for and is very clean, but...

With the odd serial number and weird Made in USA stamp on back of the neck, it was pretty easy to spot as some level of forgery. What I was hoping to figure out was if any part of it is real. Is it a Mexican body with a generic neck covered in fake stamps? Or all generic parts.

I would really appreciate any help deciding what this is

Thanks

I don't recognize any of it as being authentic Fender. It looks to me like someone went "fender USA stamp/decal happy" on some kind of Asian copy.

The typeface on the front and back of the headstock are wrong, as is the omission of speech marks around the TELECASTER. The custom shop logo is brave imo.

You'll find that most of the Telecasters in the Fender catalogue are fakes if you use this criteria.
Some have 'em, some don't.

The OP's guitar is a fake. It's not even a Squier.

The OP posted this same guitar over on TDPRI and the consensus over there was it's Squier Standard with a fake Fender headstock decal and a bunch of fake Fender CS decals. The OP has never been back here but made a comment about it over there.
