I'm in love with my Nashville; clear coat lacquer over ash. When it came in, my buddies and I at GC were amazed. I knew this was a Mexican when I bought it and I did receive a smoking deal (piled up all my discount cards and bought it during the July 4th sale). When we opened the box it had the modern bridge (calls for old style brass) and the 60th Anniversary plate. The fit and finish was beautiful, the color is like a bowl of banana pudding and with the 3 pups, its like having a Strat with the feel of a Tele.

The MIM Baja is my choice, all dressed up in '52 clothing, and chunky soft V neck. The stealth S1 switch gives out of phase options with a 4-way switch (series and parallel included). Just another tone monster from Fender without the cost.

There are many fine Telecasters to choose from but I really dig the special edition spalted maple or flame maple top. coil tap gives you single coil tone with just a little extra bite to it and then you get that nice fat tone from the Seymour Duncan humbuckers too! if I roll the tone all the way back I even get a zz top type tone out of this baby. I absolutely love the set neck, you can slide all the way up the neck and its just a sweet, fast neck. if it had a tremelo it would really fit my collection perfectly. I am seriously looking at Showmasters for that very reason. The spalted maple versions like mine sell brand new for just over 800 bucks. I think you can get a flame maple top new for about 650 or so. Indonesia for spalted maple and Korea for the FMT but the craftmanship is just incredible for the coin. try to look at a FMT or spalted tele and take it for a test drive, I think you will really like it.
