Hard rock maple is a general use term for that type wood. Such as furniture. It has no reference to music.

I listen to hard rock music anytime I'm out in the wood shop working with hard or soft maple.

Shouldn't a 74 have a bullet truss rod, and why does the sticker say it has wide range humbuckers? This is either some sort of fake, or if not what am i missing? I don't think i've ever seen a mid 70's fender without a bullet rod. Far as i know they didn't make any, unless maybe some odd model.

i have a 1974 tele but it don't look like this!! mine is rather er well used shall we say! its now a blonde colour, whats left of the paint!, but the case is a 1967 ish case dont think i'd get that amount of money for mine as its had a few things changed on it , like the bridge is an all brass six saddle and its had a new volume pot sometime in the 80's and three way switch. and the bridge pup is a kent armstrong wax dipped overwound. but it does me and i love it , it plays really well and i gig it every week

only the deluxe and custom teles had bullet truss rods my 74 has a small rosewood plug and is adjusted at the pup end of the neck, and it doesn't mention humbuckers just wide range pick ups , it could be that the sticker is of a custom or deluxe, but everything else looks like mine but newer!
