Hello, i'm hesitating on wheter I should buy the:
JIM ADKINS JA-90 TELECASTER® THINLINE
or
CABRONITA TELECASTER® THINLINE
(Fender Price of both are 1k, and I can get them both for 699€ ea.)

-Is it true artist guitar series have a lower quality/price ratio than standard series? You know, do you also pay just for the fact it being an artist guitar?

-And besides that, what are cabronita's meant for? Are they fine for rock and twinkly emo and even a bit of the heavier rock genres like some hardcore and metal? Or am I for those reasons better of with a JA-90? Because I need a versatile guitar for the younger rock department, not so much jazz and blues stuff.

Thanks for your attention and have a great day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Sorry for inefficient sentences, i'm extremely tired. This will be my first electric guitar, I already have an acoustic.)

Both of these Guitars seem to be "meant" for a vintage tone but I am sure either one overdriven would be fine for heavy rock which is more about playing style then which guitar you use. Other then the price difference they are both unique in the sense that they are not string through body designs and have different type pickups then you normally find in a tele. Teles typically are your blues, jazz, country "go to" guitars but you can certainly use them for heavier stuff.

On the Cabronita you only get a pup selector switch and a master volume. On the JA-90 you get a "Gibson" type setup with a pup selector switch and a separate volume and tone control for each pup so you will have more tonal versatility with that one. If you are a simple person as far as sound and always keep the tone control up all the time then it is not a real concern. What could be a concern is the "thinline" design which is semi hollow and could present feedback issues especially when overdriven granted some claim they are very similar to a solid body tele.

As far as it being an artist series means it is identical to the one the artist uses we will never know. I have heard some artists claim they use the exact off the shelf models as we can buy but in most cases I would say that is a giant huge crock of poo poo and the guitars are designed using one of their guitars as a guideline or the artist simply helps Fender design it. But either way on guitars with those kinds of price tags I would think that quaility is as good or not better then a standard....but then again if you happen to get one that was done by a worker having a bad day........ :?

I have always shied away from artist endorsed/named products whether guitars, amps, or anything else for that matter. Products aren't endorsed for nothing...so where's the endorsement fee come from? Gottabe increased price.

I not saying the product is in any way inferior, but it's an additional cost I have a hangup on paying. JMO

That is kind of generalizing and not considering several factors. Yes some guitars just have a pup swap and color and you pay more just for that because it is an artist series. Some artists really do not make much off it..maybe pennies per unit....but if the name is an "industry" that is another story.

In some cases yes you of course are going to pay more for an artist series all else being equal but if it is exactly what someone wants and it would be far more costly to reproduce it yourself or paying someone then it can actually be a more economical route. Also to consider the resale value will be higher as well.

If you actually look at the guitars this poster is asking about they are not typical teles and the particular artist series one he is considering is not that bad of a deal if you are into something that unique considering it would probably cost you double to make yourself since these are not exactly "off the shelf" bodies and parts.

Other then an original pink paisley tele (which are pretty much "goldish" in color by now) I would never even consider a pink guitar. But the one in your last link is astonishingly beautiful and I would consider jumping on one myself if found locally at the right price.
