I'm looking at buying a used nocaster relic tele, and currently waiting for info on the serial number, but it looks and feels pretty authentic, and it is from a respected local dealer. My question is related to the neck on this guitar. It is a nice fat profile, as the nocaster necks are reputed to be, but it has pretty big frets, I'd say jumbo, 6150 or maybe even 6100-ish. Feels great, but I thought the no asters had frets like the AVRI's, vintage style, skinnier.

We're there special runs or something, like for Wildwood or Dave's for example, with fatter frets, and if so, could that be tracked down once I get ahold of the S/N?

Thanks!

Yes, different frets are occasionally used, and once you get the serial number, you can contact Fender and they will email you a spec sheet, usually called a (Shop Floor Traveler).
