jasonk931, if you wouldn't mind, could you show us a pic of the kotzen from a playing position looking directly down? I'd like to see what the binding does when it gets to the arm cut. And also see the profiles of the arm and belly cut.

Thats if you have time, if you don't thats cool too, still a great purchase :)

Just a quick thread bump regarding the USA Kotzen Tele: does this feature the same cream-colored binding as the Japanese version? I recall when the guitar ws shown at NAMM it was missing this feature. Just want to be sure before I pull the trigger on one of these. Looks like it may well become my new favorite instrument.

This is finally being manufactured in USA, but from the previews I've seen, it looks like it no longer had the cream binding. As the pic in the thread shows the binding and it appears to be a USA model, I want to be sure I am understanding correctly.

They are from Japan. Mine was manufactured in Japan and it's a 2013. Kurt at Sweetwater said they are shipping from Japan. Best quality I have ever seen! This is Custom Shop Quality!

Yep, probably a confusion between 'made available in the US' and 'made in the US'

Might I bug you on that wiring diagram you promised on page 1..?

That makes much more sense. This whole time the press releases from NAMM made it seem like it was going to be manufactured in USA. I guess this situation is somewhat similar to the Geddy Lee Jazz Bass which is made in Japan, but imported to the states?

Yeah you have to get lucky on eBay... Plus it's a blind purchase....

Here is my homebuilt Andy Summers inspired Telecaster.

This guitar is one of my most versitile guitars, yet still retains much of the clasic Tele vibe.

Production of the Geddy Lee Jazz Bass moved to Mexico a couple of years ago.
Same thing for the Marcus Miller Jazz Bass IV.

Both basses are now made at the Ensenada facility.

I must say that even after months with my Richie Kotzen Tele, it is still my weekly gig guit! I try to go to my other guitars, but this pickup config and overall range of the RK Tele is unsurpassed in my opinion. I now know why Kotzen plays his almost exclusively. The neck is a dream!

No, you don't. You can buy it from a Japanese store, brand new, as easily as buying from Sweetwater or other online stores.

I've been thinking as amazing as my RK Tele is, the STRAT is probably insane too. That red one may be in my near future.
