Hi Everyone!!!

Well I bought my first Fender, a 1972 Tele Deluxe (MIM Reissue). I'm a huge fan of the maple fretboards, but I could never find one that would give me the dual humbucker sound that I was looking for! So I gave up on the maple neck and bought an Epiphone Les Paul Custom. I bought it from GC so I had 30 days to it, and at almost the 30th day I found this baby! I called them and made the swap! I love the wide range humbuckers (they weren't kidding when they named them that either). I can get so many tomes out of this thing, and the maple C profile neck is like butter! I'm switching out the pickguard to white pearloid, for that ying/yang vibe! 8)

Ok I give, how do I post a pic???

Thanks Guys!!! As I mentioned in my previous post, that I switched out the pickguard. Just thought it would be just taking off the screws and putting on the new one! But to my surprise....

One of Leo Fender's cost savings. It allows (almost) all the soldering to take place away from the guitars, and multiple variations of pickguard/pickups to be pre-made and put in at assembly time.

It's the "Strat way", as opposed to the Tele way where the pickups are actually fastened to the body, and thus more flavored by the wood resonating. Which is one reason why I don't like the teles that are wired the strat way.

Did you ever try an original ( Vintages ) 1972 Tele to say this ?

Sound like one of the best single coil Tele . I don't know how they do .

A friend of mine had two of them .
