The guitar tech at my local shop in giving my tele a fret dressing has left file marks between the frets for half the length of the fretboard , what do I do ?
Opinions on what I can do please , yes  gun violence is warranted , but ruled out by Spanish law .

What did the "tech" say when you brought it to his attention? Are you saying he marked up the fretboard with file marks? Post some pics if possible.

This is not qualified tech , it is only a ( guitar ? ) repairman .

Bring it back a see what he can do ...or he will make your fret board worse ? Nothing you can do by yourself .

You need to see a qualified luthier to fix the fret board .

Picture .

Yes , need a luthier , in England used to see Andy Demetriou who fettled Gary Moore´s guitars and built Uli Roth´s Sky guitar so I was lucky and spoiled but here ... You can only trust the shop and this guy seem´s to have been ok to start with but lately a disaster .
This week the shop keeps calling him but he´s either saying he´ll be there tomorrow and not turning up or he´s not calling them back , needless to say they are looking for somebody else but it´s difficult here to find competent people , even in an economic crisis .
Basically screwed six ways to sunday on this one .

OK he´s had another go at the frets and , if you can believe it he´s made it worse so my options are now a refret ( that he´s not capable of doing ) and ignore the damage to the fret board or a new neck . let´s see if I can " convince " him and the shop who used him to contribute to the project .
other option , cut losses and sell .

you haven't told us what material your neck is made from (rosewood or maple)

and pictures would help.

they probably can be buffed out. Rosewood would maybe need some 0000 steel wool,
if it's maple and sealed, maybe try some scratch remover?

NOOOOOO!

Never use steel wool anywhere near a guitar. That's for stripping paint off doors. It's also magnetic and steel wool dust likes nothing better than to get inside pickups and wreck them.

I don't know about steel wood , but it is easy to put paper and masking tape around the body or remove neck
