Hi guys,
I purchased the '52 reissue vintage hot rod and it sounds so sweet - but the seymour duncan hot rod mini hum bucker has a thick clear plastic covering over the pick up and it seems to be wrapped tightly around the top and bottom and tucked in under the pick guard while the sides are exposed. It looks sort of like a protective covering for shipping, the way electronics like TV's have been shipping lately, but it does not want to easily come off the pickup.
I'm wondering if this is supposed to be removed, I really can't imagine the sound being any better, but if it is supposed to be removed does the pick guard have to come off first or should i use a little more ummpf in the removal process??
Thanks for your thoughts.
:)
