Hi!
I bought a Fender Select Telecaster yesterday.
I always played Strats, but now I got in love with this Tele.
It's a select chambered violin burst, with chrome hardware. Beautiful! (0170303 - 733)
I have two questions:
- when was it made exactly - it's serial number is: US12148739. Was it one of the first models, or it was made later? Do You know something about it's history?
- in the store there were two select tele, this was the lighter. (The other was "much" heavy). Somewhere Iread, that the swamp ash body is better, if it's lighter, because the wood is more musical. Was it a good choce? (There sound was almost the same.) What is Your view?
Thank You:
Zoltan, Hungary

You would be better off sending Fender's Consumer Relations an email. Sometimes folks from Fender will post that info here on the forum if they get a chance, but the quickest way to get an answer is to email them directly. The address is consumerrelations@fender.com
