Post subject: Telecaster bridge change

I put a different bridge on the AS Tele. It seems to have more twang, individual note detail, and sustain than the stock one.

Good bridge - better intonation while still having enough mass on the saddles to get good sustain.
But it looks like the mid and treble saddles are touching. You might be lucky and not have any buzz from it, but I still recommend separating saddles. I use the thinnest feeler I have. Some use a piece of string.

I actually had to file the saddles a little. There is indents on the bridge plate to position the outside saddles. This bridge isn't the drop in it's advertised as. There is some work involved. They are close, but I see a very tiny gap.

Maybe the Duncan bridge pup has something to do with that too. :wink:
