It is not a rare Tele or that you are stealing the world of a great treasure. A guitar should work, and be trusted to play if not it is junk. Old junk, I fix many guitars for a lot of reasons. I am never going to stay with a bad design. Your guitar enjoy it, who cares about a sh*t little detail like that?

Buyers.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I would say it is time for an upgrade.
I would remove the jack and retainer carefully so as not to damage the guitar and replace with an Electrosocket and a new Switchcraft jack. The Electrosocket has 2 screws which screw into the body and makes a much more stable job than the original clip in retainer.
Keep the original parts and refit if you ever sell as an original 75.

I agree with 64Galaxie, get a new Switchcraft L11 jack.
However I would use a "Rutters Twisted Machined Jack Cup” or a “Rutters Shallow Twisted Machined Jack Cup” that works with an angled guitar cable.
They are a a bit pricey, but you only live once and they are the best.
There are no screw holes and they look much more original, with a vastly superior design from the stock Fender cup.!!
I advise just a small dab of superglue when you push these into place.

Pictured below is the Shallow version.

In my opinion, a slight modification such as this to a '75 Tele is of no consequense regarding resale value, unless it is for some reason an exceptionally rare guitar or pristine in appearance.
Some people would think that it's really cool and just as valuable if half of the paint is worn off and there are wear marks all over the neck!!

I repair 70 year old Martins and many beautiful old guitars. Things wear out, that jack was bad from day one. My Gretsch had the same jack, it was replaced. I have done many to a level that will last many years.

Most modern era guitars are just guitars. The 1959 LP is a hot one because of Page, but it sounds bad. That is all they had now a lap top and a nice guitar you can tear things up!
