Sorry, I am new and posted this in bass section. Will try here..

Hello, I also have a 1975 Telecaster according to the ser # 619xxx stamped on neck plate. There is no date that I can find on the butt of neck, except there is a long stamped #1393414, or maybe one more 4 after that. It has R Armenta stamped on the neck butt, and RA in the neck cavity of the body where neck joins. Do you think this is the original neck ? The headstock decal patent #'s match a 75 neck I saw for sale on E Bay.Thanks for any help..

Here is a link to a good article on neck codes:

http://www.ggjaguar.com/neckcode.htm

This being a 1975-ish Fender it should fit into the 10-digit code system so it is likely that there is another 4 at the end. The first 2 digits are a model code, the next two are a neck code, the next two are the week of manufacture, the next one is the year of manufacture, and the final number is the day of the week of manufacture. I'm also guessing that the third digit of the stamp on your neck is really a blurry "0"; none of the neck codes had a "9" in them.

Assuming there really is another 4 at the end and the third digit is really a 0, here is how you would read the 13034144:

13 - 2-digit code for "Telecaster"
03 - 2-digit code for rosewood neck with a skunk stripe
41 - 41st week of the year
4 - code for 1974
4 - made on a Thursday (codes are 1 = Monday, 2 = Tuesday, etc.)

Hope that helps.

I cannot thank you enough for this great information. I am new here , and boy this is super. My Telecaster has a maple skunk stripe neck with maple fretboard. I can check the pot codes also. Sorry for late reply as we were gone all day....Again, thank you... :)
