Looking for a little help. I recently noticed the an adjustment screw was missing from my tele. I bought part #099-4928-000. Although the screw looked the same size it was a tiny bit large and clearly the wrong screw for my tele. MY serial number is US11199375. Any assistance from the more educated members here would be appreciated. Thank you in advance. :D

I have to admit, having the smallest screws offered in the various Fender replacement parts not fit my bridge has me a little befuddled.

What would be the proper protocol for contacting Fender for assistance?

Which model Tele is it that you have? This might narrow it down.
I ran your serial number on one serial # site, and it wasn't recognised as American, Mexican or Japanese, so might the country of origin be somewhere else? This info would help.

It is an American Standard, 2011, I think. I say I think because it seemed to be with the 2012 models, but when I got it and saw that the body was not contoured but had the 60th anniversary stamp I figured it for a 2011. I love this guitar and everyone who plays it feels the same way. Got it from AMS.

Serial # starts with US. Thanks for checking.

Ah, now I've found in this site's list of serial numbers and dating that US11 +six digits is indeed 2011.
Now, I think, the Standards went to bent steel saddles not long before, so it may be relevant whether your saddles are cast...or bent steel. If bent steel, it may be that the saddles and screws are the same as on Strats, but I really don't know for sure. All I'm trying here is to get it narrowed down to where somebody might know.

Alternatively, you could try asking Fender themselves on consumerrelations@fender.com and they should be able to tell you what the screws are.

"While playing my guitar, what did I see?
My telecaster bridge screw looking at me."

Laying on the rug of the studio it was. It was apparently under a monitor that was recently moved. Thought I had looked there. :?:

Maybe it was vacationing in.............The Twilight Zone.

This thread has run its purposefulness. I do want to contact Fender and find out what the correct part is and see if they provide it. The smallest screw I could find was a hair, almost literally, too big.
