Thanks guys will do that when I get home as the guitar is currently with fedex on its way to Jersey C.I.

To be fair though although I love all my guitars I don't cosset them. The more they look used the better! I'm looking forward to gigging this Tele as soon as I'm back home!

Cheers

Sacha

No worries Sacha, Just thought I'd add that in after Lightnin MN, as it just saves a few pennies on neck plates. ;)

Thanks Steve much appreciated!

I'm currently still in orlando but I've had confirmation that it's now in Jersey and due to be delivered to my parents tomorrow. I'm back in a week so more pics then and I'm due to gig it a week on Saturday. Can't wait!

Nice guitar you gotta have, old chap.

The late George Harrison would be very proud.

This is a different Tele to the one the OP bought.

+1

The light rosewood Telebration is a modern interpretation of the late 1960s originals.

Well, you can't get the Brazilian rosewood in large quantities anymore, as it's endangered.
Even the CS ones aren't like the "rooftop" guitar.

But there are some other major visual differences too, like the neck and headstock being maple.

…and you have 22 medium-jumbo frets and a 9.5'' radius rosewood fretboard for modern playability.

The headstock decals are not period-correct for a Telecaster from that era, ditto for the modern features which come stock on those limited-edition runs.

The Rosewood Stratocaster belonged to Jimi Hendrix.

Personally I never seen Jimi playing that rosewood Strat onstage.

I think it is widely accepted that Jimi died before the guitar could be delivered, and nobody seems to know where it ended up!

Probably because the strings are on the wrong way :-)

Lovely!

The rosewood fretboard with the black pickguard on the rosewood body is the nicest look I've ever seen on any Tele.
